JAZZ & ACOUSTIC DOUBLE BILL

NICOLA FARNON TRIO

Nicola Farnon manages to combine her exceptional talents of singing and playing double bass with a delightfully original and very inclusively warm and witty performance.

Piero Tucci on piano and sax is breathtaking to behold - especially when he decides to play both instruments simultaneously!

Phil Johnson drives the whole performance with an intense drumming feel that allows the song to shine through.

Together... the Nicola Farnon Trio play an eclectic mix of classic songs from the 1930s to the 1970s - great arrangements - swing, latin and the moving, heart rending ballads that people never tire of.

"A remarkable performer on stage, a fine singer and an outstandingly swinging and propulsive bass player with an outgoing personality to match.. I declare that she is a class act who should be on every jazz festival in the land.. A sure fire hit!" Humphrey Lyttleton

PETE KING

Opening for the Nicola Farnon Trio is singer/songwriter Pete King

Pete has worked with veteran producer/songwriters Ben Findon, Steve Roland and Pete Waterman; he's composed for theatre and been in numerous bands on the Manchester scene; he's also written and produced releases for several other artists.

In this concert, performing a solo, acoustic set, Pete's songwriting, vocal and instrumental talents will definitely be to the fore.
