ALICE KIRWAN







Alice Kirwan graduated with a Master of Music (Distinction) from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2014. She already has a wealth of experience as a soloist, in chamber ensembles and with orchestras.

Alice is an avid performer of contemporary music and is passionate about showing the versatility of the harp to a wide audience by presenting exciting and unique solo programmes. As a soloist, she has appeared at venues across the UK and recently won the Solo Award for her performances at the Buxton Fringe Festival.

NORTHERN STRING QUARTET


The Northern String Quartet are an exciting and charismatic ensemble who are rising rapidly in the chamber music world; its members were trained at the prestigious and world renowned Royal Northern College of Music and have been performing together for over a decade in front of large scale audiences and in various venues across the UK. 

Northern String Quartet members also perform with highly acclaimed orchestras such as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Halle Orchestra, Opera North & Manchester Camerata.

Their vast repertoire ranges from Haydn to Shostakovich, but also covers special arrangements of Jazz, Pop and TV & Film music. They're sure to bring sonic joy and beauty to the last concert of the 2017 Horwich Music Festival.
